Double Digging

April 10, 2010

Here is a decent description of double digging. I’ve been somewhat ambivalent about double digging over the last few years. For now, I’m tabling my ambivalence and giving it a try. The Grow Biointensive folks have a good story to tell in terms of their yields. The idea is that double digging puts a lot of air into the soil and breaks up the dirt clods. This gives the plants nice, fluffy soil so that their roots can grow deeply.
