More on Living Your Art

May 7, 2010

Check out my cousin Amy’s work from a few years ago. She is creating a new blog called the Happiness Experiment. Amy was born to create. When we were little, she once cut her finger on a butcher knife at my house while making teeth out of a watermelon rind. From watermelon teeth, she moved on to create amazing lighting and furniture. To zero in on her lighting, I have to say that the term lighting does her work a disservice- it’s art that happens to illuminate. Truly wonderful. You want to keep looking at it so that you can take in the detail. She’s at it again, and I can’t wait to see what she does. In her words, the Happiness Experiment is the name of “the first thing i ever made that i let just happen”. With the ideas that she has in the pipeline, we’re in for a treat.
